Ski Season
Welcome to the Andes Mountains of Chile! Let Endless Turns arrange your all-inclusive ski and snowboarding package to El Colorado and La Parva Resorts, which are located 1.5 hours from Santiago. For skiing either resort you have the choice of staying in Valle Nevado, La Parva, or El Colorado.
All three resorts offer wonderful Chilean hospitality, as well as some tremendous cuisine, wine, and a quaint European-like feel, but Valle Nevado has the largest selection of lodging in the area.
ABOUT THE RESORT
SKI SEASON
At La Parva the ski season runs from June to late September, but best snow conditions are from July though September. August sees some of the biggest storms of the season and the powder stays good, as the sun is not very strong yet. In late August and September one can find great powder on those South facing aspects (since you are in the Southern Hemisphere) and beautiful corn snow on north facing slopes.
THE MOUNTAIN
La Parva has a wide variety of terrain for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Long groomers, bump runs, chutes, and wide-open powder fields abound throughout the resort. The backcountry access here is very good, with steep chutes, couloirs, and endless powder fields. Skiing from La Parva to the resorts of El Colorado and Valle Nevado is quite good and truly provides you with the European ski idea of connecting multi-resorts.
ACCOMMODATIONS & CUISINE
The village of La Parva is slope-side and most of the accommodations are ski-in, ski-out. The village is made up of small hotels, cabanas, chalets, and apartments. La Parva’s lodging is geared towards families and groups of friends.
NIGHTLIFE
The village of La Parva is quite a charming Andean village that is composed of old wooden homes and chalets. Even though La Parva is small and caters to families, there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from, pubs, and discotheque. Just about ever type of cuisine can be found here, from tender carne (steak) to an excellent selection of seafood dishes to pizzas and pastas.
