    ABOUT THE RESORT

Kicking Horse Resort has it all, from steep chutes to gentle groomers and great tree skiing!  The on snow experience at Kicking Horse is exceptional for the whole family.  Nowhere else can you ride a single gondola right to the summit, which provides stunning views of the Rocky Mountains, and offers such easy access to alpine ridges, chutes, and bowls.  Kicking Horse is also known as the Champagne Powder Capital of Canada!

With world-class skiing and snowboarding, comfortable on-mountain lodging, and a friendly vibe, now is the time to let Endless Turns arrange your all-inclusive trip package for the adventure of a lifetime!

Kicking Horse has a 4,314 ft vertical drop (1,315 meters), 5 lifts (gondola is base to summit), over 3,400 of skiable acres, and 24 ft (7.3 meters) of average annual snowfall.  There are 120+ designated runs, 5 massive alpine bowls, and an infinite number of chutes, steep faces, and glades to challenge even the most seasoned expert skiers and snowboarders.

Kicking Horse had an immense terrain expansion back in 2018, when they added 660 acres of backcountry-like bliss to the mountain.  The areas known as Ozone, Middle Ridge, Feuz Bowl, and Rudi’s Bowl, are only accessible by hiking.  However, short approaches lead to infinite rewards of powder and some of the steepest inbounds terrain outside the Alps!

Even though there are many runs at Kicking Horse that cater to advanced and expert level riders, there is also great terrain for beginner and intermediates.  With long groomed runs, there is plenty of vertical to fine tune skills you learned in ski school and to push yourself to that next level.
